The Slightly Unhinged “About Us” Page of a Small-Batch Pâté Company
For a while, this page was just going to say:
“We make pâté. It slaps. The end.”
But apparently, “branding” is a thing. And so is SEO. And people actually click on the About page, some of you are even reading this right now instead of pretending to work.

So, Hello.
We’re Spread ’em, a cheeky little food company based in California.
We make boldly flavored, personality-packed pâté with attitude, sass, and zero weird filler.
We’re not Michelin-starred chefs (yet). We’re just a slightly chaotic, food-loving family, and this all started with a Brit bird, her tone-lowering husband, and three teens with big appetites and even bigger opinions.
One day, we looked at a fridge full of liver that Dad called “a chef’s challenge,” and Mom said:
“It’s good for us! Let’s make it sexy.”
This is where flirtatious characters, retro packaging, and dangerously snackable little tubs of deliciousness collide.
We took something old-school and gave it a glow-up, a name drop, and a swipe of red lipstick.
If that’s your vibe, welcome to the spread.
If not... we hear hummus is fine too.

But …
Why Liver?
Fair question.
Because organ meats have been villainized for years and are criminally underrated, often by people who have never actually tasted good pâté.
Liver has gotten a bad rap in the States. Blame your childhood, your cafeteria, or some sad, overcooked lump from 1995.
Here’s the truth:
Liver is a superfood. It’s nutrient-dense, protein-packed, and absolutely delicious when treated with a little love, butter, and spice.
And did we mention it’s loaded with iron, B12, and brain-and-beauty-boosting nutrients that’ll have both you and your snack board stealing the spotlight?
Oh, and it’s sustainable, too.
By using the nutrient-packed organ parts most Americans ignore (or wrinkle their nose at), we ensure less waste, more taste, and maximum respect for the whole animal.
So if you’re brave enough to try the one-chip challenge, pickles with Kool-Aid, Banana Peel “Bacon”, pistachio-knafeh filled chocolate bars, or whatever’s trending on TikTok this week…You can handle liver.
Especially when it tastes like this.

Wait… Pâté?
Yup. That creamy, dreamy, savory stuff that’s usually whispered about at bougie wine tastings or buried deep in gastro, gourmet menus, but devoured daily across Europe the way Americans inhale PB&J.
We dragged it out of the star-spangled shadows, gave it a bold new attitude, and slapped on some sass (and actual faces).
Now it’s strutting into American fridges with zero shame and a whole lot of flavor confidence.

We’re just out to prove that pâté doesn’t have to be
bloody, boring, or bougie.
It can be bloody funny.
It can banish boredom.
It can be bougie - if that’s your thing.
We are on a mission to spread health, happiness… and a hint of havoc!
